ACTIVITY FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2017
Dear Donors,
It is a dream of every young eligible girl to get married to her prince
charming and live happily ever after but this is not so in practical life.
In our society where more than 70% of the population is living below the
poverty line and parents struggle hard to make their two ends meet.
People are deprived of the basic necessities of life like, food, shelter
and clothing above all the dearth and non availability of clean drinking water.
Parents of eligible young girls are in a paradoxical dilemma as what to
do as regards the dowry of the young bride who goes from her parent’s home to
her husband’s home with great happiness enthusiasm and expectations.
Such parents have nowhere to go except to look for help from
philanthropic and charitable organizations.
About 15 years back when we started this dowry project, in the initial
stages due to paucity of funds we were only able to accommodate one case of marriage
per month expect for Ramzan and Moharram but now because of magnanimous
contributions and donations from friends like you we are accommodating two
cases per month apart from arrangement of school fees for deserving students
and helping those in case of sickness and house rentals.
This month in early march 2017, we had a registered case approved by our
field staff.
We were approached by Zulfiqar Ahmed R/o House No. NE-3780, St no. 38,
Sultan Pura, Rawalpindi NIC No. 37405 – 8972816 – 0, whose daughter Naila Bibi was
married on 11th March 2017.
The following items of furniture for Naila Bibi dowry was arranged and handed
over to her family.

As usual the budget for this furniture were arranged from funds lying
with us while contributions from my friends and donors are eagerly awaited so
that we are able to arrange the dowry furniture for other recipients who are
waiting for their turn.
